Our Policies

By booking an appointment with us you agree to follow and adhere by these policies and procedures, failure to follow our policies will result in removal from our system and refusal of service.

-Rustic Retreat Pet Spa is a cash preferred business. We accept cash, personal checks made out to Rustic Retreat Pet Spa, venmo @Briana-Escher, and zelle 470-880-6535. We accept all major credit cards and Apple pay.

-There is a $12 fee to reschedule appointments. Cancellations, no shows, and moving a pre-existing appointment results in a $12 booking fee applied to your next visit.

-Loyalty Points System, for every $70 you earn a point. At 10 points receive $5. Points roll over up to $10 off!

-De-Matting: We do not provide any de-matt services other than spot shaving and full body shave downs. Any coat that is matted over 20% of the body will be a full body shave down. All matted shave downs are provided with plenty of aftercare information and an automatic appointment booked for 8 weeks out. We do not provide full body shave downs due to matting on any doodle breeds or cats.

-Per State Law we require proof of rabies at first visit. We highly recommend being up to date on all vaccinations and a monthly flea and tick preventative.

-When arriving for your appointment, please allow 15 minutes for check in and consultation, this 15 minutes starts at the time of your appointment. Not before.

-We cannot accommodate drop offs 30 minutes past your appointment time. If you are going to be 30 minutes late to your appointment, please call to reschedule.

-Turn around times are extended because we do not rush the process. We ask for 6 hours with your pet. While it doesn't always take this long we ask that you  PLEASE DO NOT SHOW UP BEFORE WE CALL OR TEXT! This causes unnecessary stress on your pet and our staff.

-Express Appointments additional $25 Tues-Fri 8:30am straight through service, 2 hr turnaround, you are invited to stay and observe or assist. (NO STANDARD POODLES OR DOODLES)

-Damage to the salon or dogs that require 2 groomers result in additional "Special Handling"  and "Damages" fees up to $15

-Flea & Tick $15 any pet found to have active fleas or ticks

-We do not accept new clients or clients that are not on a 5-8 week schedule during the weeks of Christmas, Thanksgiving, Easter, and 4th of July without a $25 deposit. These are our busiest times of year and pets that do not experience us regularly do not respond well during these times. This also gives us the ability to provide our loyal clients with preferential booking! New clients and clients that are outside of an 8 week schedule will be able to book the week before holidays with a $25 deposit while clients in an 8 week schedule may book for the holidays, free of charge, up to 3 months in advance!

-We require all doodle breeds to be on a 3-5 week schedule. This is the best schedule for coat maintenance and behavior issues that occur starting around 6 weeks between appointments. A maximum 5 week schedule is required to maintain an active account with Rustic Retreat Pet Spa. Doodle breeds that are not on a maximum 5 week schedule will not be accepted at Rustic Retreat Pet Spa. “Unfurnished” doodles are the only exception to this rule. Doodle breeds include but are not limited to all sizes of ; goldendoodle, labradoodle, aussiedoodle, bernedoodle, german shepherd doodle, great pyredoodle, and any breed mixes that result in a fur/hair combination coat.

-We do not accept dogs that are pregnant, nursing, or participating in breeding programs. We find that it is too difficult for these pets to adhere to a grooming schedule and often the mothers suffer from many health issues that cause unnecessary stress and liability to the pet and our facility. We recommend veterinary and mobile grooming for all dog mothers participating in breeding/guardian contracts or programs.

-We do not book appointments out farther than 3 months, 12 weeks.

-WE DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS, your pet receives the services they will behave for and the coat condition will allow for. You are charged for our products used and our time. If you are dissatisfied with the cut, we can fix the groom if your pet allows it, but we do not refund money for our time and product spent. Each groom has a 2 week guarantee. Please alert us to any changes or anything that needs to be "fixed" right away!
